the coming basketball season

what we know:
1. we'll be young. one senior--qvale. four juniors, two of whom are jaycee transfers. three sophomores. four true freshmen plus one redshirt freshman. so: eight of thirteen will be underclassmen.
2. we'll be athletic. newcomers jamar, autry and steward plus cherry assure that.
3. we'll be a nightmare defensively. cherry and qvale are solid. jamar and steward improve the perimiter. autry plugs right in.
4. we'll have excellent post play. how many teams have tandem seven-footers of the quality of selvig and qvale?

what we don't yet know:
1. will selvig remain healthy?
2. will hutchison contribute"
3. will reader redshirt? (if so, we lack post depth.)
4. can we shoot? (we lose two good ones: johnson and staudacher. who takes the last shot? has cherry improved his?)
5. among the newcomers, who majorly steps in--autry? jamar? steward?
6. of the lettermen, who steps up--ward? stockton?
7. and as we wonder every year: will grizbacker1 ever amount to anything?

The negative side of neutality is always less than nothing. -1, 0, +1.

One redeeming quality is that he's still a Yankees and even more importantly, a Griz fan. Or so I've heard. Sometimes I wonder.

I crap bigger than you city...would you upgrade your gawdawful wardrobe and lose the paisley shirts? :roll:
 
OK I was near campus and checked in at the field house.

All week at 4:00 in the afternoon the field house floor is reserved for the Griz. It will be a little bit of a crap shoot as to who will be their the floor is reserved for both the men and women, so you could find either of both. When classes are done for 2nd session this summer (this week?) expect some of the players to to leave town until fall semester starts.

BTW Quit picking on GB1, he is a sensitive soul! :roll:

I always thought it was the same reason as chicks hanging all over Henry Kissenger, power and money.
