They play in a Summit Conference that is far superior to the BSC. Don't know how they'll finish, but up 37-29 over Oklahoma at half looks pretty good...
 
NDSU showing MORE reasons why they should have been the Dakota team added to the conference years ago.
 
For now yes, but not so long down the road both ND schools will be quality. State of ND is awash with oil cash and understands that funding higher ed is were they should invest. It all starts with their respective campuses.

We can expect UND won't be second tier for long. For now maybe.
 
The Big Sky Conference screwed the pooch in not bringing in NDSU. Was it Foolerton or some egomaniacal presidents who kept them out? Whoever it was, should lose their job(s). Congrats NDSU.
 
Fullerton's Big Sky office should finally wakeup to the fact you can't hoodwink the selection committee. The 12th seed Bison, making the most of it against a #5 Oklahoma, were clearly deserving of ranking four places higher than anybody in the BSC with its collection of sorry ass RPI's. The Griz are well beyond the time they should have found an association with schools that actually take basketball seriously.

Next year and the year after :?: ... expect more of the same

Not for NDSU, with the RPI they would have sacrificed leaving the Summit for the BSC. Joining the BSC they'd have probably wound up with the perennial Unsweet 16 seed the committee dropped on Weber State.

Fullerton recommended NDSU, majority of presidents said no. In the 10years that NDSU has been div.1 they have achieved more than any big sky school.

I just have to chuckle at this post. What you fail to realize is the BSC chose a school that is divided in it's fan support. What's #1 at that school and always has been and always will be is Hockey. Everything else is a distant second or third. Oil money has nothing to do with it.
