Nice post. Thanks for the great info (& to the mods for the pin). Anything out there on records for rushing yards?

Here you go b, sorry about the late response.

Rushing Yards career
1st 4,070 Yohance Humphrey
2nd 4,067 Chase Reynolds
3rd 4,018 Lex Hilliard
4th 3,435 Jordan Canada
5th 2,228 Rocky Klever
——
24th 1,311 Renard Coleman
?? 807 Dalton Sneed

Rushing TD’s career
1st 52 Chase Reynolds
2nd 50 Lex Hilliard
3rd 43 Yohance Humphrey
4th 40 Jordan Canada
5th 27 Jeremy Calhoun
——
18th 12 Mike Hagen
?? 8 Dalton Sneed
?? 5 Marcus Knight

Those top four guys were essentially our main RB’s from ‘99-‘14. That’s a Mt Rushmore of Montana RB’s for sure.

Many thanks (and response time was just fine). A good 'add' to the already great list you compiled.

Well I might as well add Knight’s TD total to the list. I didn’t realize he was already up to five and we got a lot of season left, not to mention two more seasons for him. Man it’s great to have Bobby back.

Dante moves from 15th to 10th. At his current rate, he’d break the record about our 3rd playoff game. Even if he doesn’t though, his two year total would probably be the best in Big Sky history.

Dante moves from 10th to 7th in career tackles and should move up a spot a week tell he reaches #2, given we make a 2-3 game playoff run.

Knight is quickly moving up the single season TD rankings and could make a run at cracking the top three.

Akem is 29 rec off the single season record and an average of 7.25 rec a game through the regular season would break it.

Robby Hauck, a So, tied Josh Sandry, a Sr, with a 173 career tackles. Hauck is averaging 9.11 tackles a game for his career and at his current rate, he’d break Huntsberger‘a career mark week 9 of his Sr season, if he never plays a playoff game.

Adam Wilson took over the career punting avg mark, as long as he still attempts 14 more punts to reach the minimum attempt requirement.

When did they start counting playoff games for these records?

2002

It would be quite interesting to see how much those totals changed if playoffs were counted before that...career receiving, passing and touchdowns.

Would be awesome if he could make a real dent in this in Portland. 10 or so catches.

Right now it's looking like the MT weather this fall (winter?) is not going to be conducive to pass happy offense. Good for Knight, not Akem.

Movement after the PSU game.

Marcus Knight is now 5 TD’s away from moving into 3rd all time in the single season total. Chase owns 1st and 2nd, by a lot. He also moved into a tie with JR Waller for 17th on the career list.

JLM passed Jimmy Farris for 13th on the career receiving yards list and Sammy Akem moved into a 3 way tie for 11th in career receiving TD’s with Jeremy Watkins and Keenan Curran with 20. Samori Toure also cracked the top 20 with his big day giving him 13.

I added Brandon Purdy‘s numbers to the kicking records and discovered that he’s out in front of Daniel Sullivan by a good little bit for career FG%, 81.3% to 77.5%.

JLM also moved into 7th in career all purpose yards.

Dante Olsen is now 44 tackles off his single season record from last year. At his current average with one extra playoff game, he’ll break it.

Adam Wilson dropped from 1st to 3rd in career punting average.

Record watch after the Idaho game.

Dalton Sneed made a heroic comeback and threw for 241, passing Brady Gustafson for 11th on the career yardage mark and moving into a 3-way tie for 10th in career TD’s with Andrew Selle and Marty Mornhenweg.

Marcus Knight scored 3 TD’s for the forth time this year to put him tied for 5th with Jordan Canada for the single season mark and tied for 13th for the career mark.

Samori’s big game moved him from 33rd to 22nd on the single season yardage total, 9 yards of Sammy Akem. Both are now 19th(Akem) and 22nd(Toure) in career yardage also.

Dante is still on pace to break his single season tackle record in the 1st round of the playoffs. He has moved up to 5th in career tackles and 11 tackles vs WSU will put him in 3rd place, 7 tackles behind Tyler Joyce for 2nd all time. Dr Vince is another nearly 40 tackles down the road after Joyce but a deep playoff run could really give Dante a chance to break the record in what was essentially a 2 year career.

JLM set his own personal best for PR yards in a season, currently at 240, breaking his Jr numbers of 222.

Updated after the mildcat beat down.

Dalton Sneed with a 170 yards and two TD’s passing against state, will enter the top 10 in career yards and pass Craig Ochs who many consider to be one of Montana’s best 2-year transfers, certainly at QB. He is also now 9th in Total Offensive Yards.

With two more rushing TD’s vs WSU, Knight entered some hallowed company, now sitting at 3rd in single season rushing TD’s and total TD’s and 11th in career rushing TD’s. He only sits behind Chase at 1st and 2nd for the single season marks in both rushing and total TD’s.

Samori had another huge game even with Akem not playing. His 193 receiving yards was good for the 13th highest total ever and pushed his single season total over a 1,000 becoming the 1st Grizzly 1,000 receiver since Jamal Jones in ‘15 and he currently sits at 8th place for the single season ranking. His 63 receptions this year are currently good for 14th and he’s 19 behind Joe Douglas for the record with at least two more guaranteed games to play. As for career numbers, he’s cracked the top 15 in yards, top 20 in receptions, and sits at 16th in career TD’s.

Dante Olsen now has 133 tackles on the season, 18 off last years pace and well within reach to break in their 1st playoff game. After he passes Tyler Joyce late 1st qt/early 2nd in career tackles(he’s 6 away from passing him), he’ll only be 36 tackles short of Dr. Vince’s career mark of 393. Unless he plays above his average of 12+ tackles a game, he’s gonna need a 3rd playoff game to break it.

Robbie Hauck only needs 4 more tackles to crack Montana’s top 40 in career tackles, as a So! Needless to say, no matter what Dante sets the bar at if he catches Vince, Robbie will most likely be breaking it in two years.

Go Griz! Returning to Dominance!

I almost didn’t feel like updating this week but with Dante tying his record inspired me some so here it is.

Daltons 195 yards moved his season total up to 19th, three yards short of his total from last year with one less game this year. His career total of 5,443 yards moved him past Craig Ochs in to 10th place all time. Despite losing 40 yards on the ground, his total career offense yards mark still climbed from 9th to 7th all time.

Marcus Knight’s two rushing TD’s moved him into a 3-way tie for 9th on the career list and three TD’s off breaking Chase’s single season mark. He has scored three in a game four times this year. His 126 points scored in a season is also now the 3rd highest total ever.

Samori’s single season receptions total went from 14th to 11th with 67 receptions and his yardage mark sits at 7th with 1107.

JLM’s seven receptions moved him passed Raul Pacheco in the “unofficial” career receptions mark. Pacheco and Matt Wells’s playoff numbers aren’t included in their official totals. JLM is still 27 receptions behind Wells, “unofficialy” of course.

After Dante’s monster 18 tackle performance, he ties his single season record from last year. With a playoff game looming, this will get broken the first series the D is on the field. He in now 24 tackles behind Dr Vince and a second playoff game will certainly make that breakable. His 24.5 career TFL now sits at 18th all time.

Robbie Hauck’s 12 tackles moved him from 41st to 37th with 215 career stops.

Jace Lewis’s two TFL moves him into a four-way tie joining Jessie Sims at 38th in the career totals with 17 TFL.
