New Football Commit: Bo Kinney

His grandfather is Jeff Kinney. Old guys like me remember him as the Nebraska tailback that went through half a dozen (tearaway) jerseys a game back in 1971. He was a big part of #1 Nebraska’s 35-31 defeat of #2 Oklahoma on Thanksgiving Day. His teammate Johnny Rodgers won the Heisman Trophy the following season.

He had 171 yards rushing in the '71 Oklahoma game; one of the greatest college football games I ever watched. Add in 5 years in the NFL after being drafted in the first round.

That's awesome! A little before my time but I remember Rodgers as a big star with the Montreal Alouettes back in the day. 70's football; the paradox of tearaway jerseys and coating yourself in stickum.
