So how do we fix it?

TO's are an issue, but I still think we lose that game even if we were even on TO's. We got beat in the trenches on both sides of the ball. I get that we were playing from behind all of yesterday, but 27 total rushing yards by our RB's isn't going to get it done. We do not have a 4 man pass rush. Not sure if we even recorded a sack yesterday or really got any pressure on the QB. For a secondary that has had some coverage issues, giving their QB that much time and get comfortable, makes it very difficult on our DB's.

One of the reason we don't have a 4-man pass rush is that we played with 3 down lineman much of the time.

True, but in those sets you still have a LB on the pass rush. Nobody was getting home.

I think taking the ndsu route would be best. Go to the Big NCAA schools, check the bench for Oline men warming up the bench snd give them playing time to protect our QB. Then do some for safety and CB. Just for next year and give our young players one year to learn and mature :thumb: #gogriz

Four to five years? Does this year not count? We are not Northern Colorado. If this staff continues with epic flop games AND loses to the Cats patience will lose out. How about using some timeouts to settle the team. Sit players who are failing. Coach like you are 21 points behind and not punt midfield. This staff is coaching like they have all the time in the world - maybe that is the problem.

The problem is that the blitz is predictable as well. As soon as the LBs crowd the line, you know they are coming. As soon as you see an unbalanced edge, the other team shifts the play away.

With this game, D linemen were being blocked singly and not really eating double teams. We lack the speed on the edges that we had in previous years. While I love Sims and company, they are being out-physicaled on the inside with out the edge rush to really push the other team’s tacked and force chips and double teams. For this scheme to work, that has to happen to free up the LBs to get pressure on the QB.

If we only had a pass rush specialist.....oh wait we did

The one who has 1.5 sacks and 3 TFL this year for his new team?

Considering the entire UM d line has 4 sacks total to this point , I think he would have helped

We? I don't have to fix anything. That is the coaches job.

He just needs some time. It's not easy to take the reigns a mere 11 months ago and be expected to keep it within 500 points against NDU.

When you are beaten at the LOS on both sides of the ball, you have a higher probabilty of turnovers. Everyone in the BSC is not as good as UND at this as we have found out.

You used to defend players. What happened? Fav hasn’t played since last month in the Hawaii Game from what I see. I see no stats generated by him since that game (per their local site) Perhaps he is hurt. Not sure I understand the need to keep slamming former players like Fav and Gresch to fit your narrative. I see one minute you post “I like Gresch”, and then rip into his stats trying to support you’re spin. This seems new for you this year.

Since when is it slamming someone to point out what his stats are? That's not a slam. It's just a fact. Also, I have done it in response to someone else, like yourself, posting that we had a rush specialist. He's gone and not a Griz. Why do you keep bringing him up? Also, I support Griz players, not necessarily former Griz players. There's a difference.

I think it's funny that you think it's not okay, and a slam, for me to point out his stats, after you have pointed that that we used to have a pass rusher last year. Stop bringing him up, and I may just stop pointing out his rush stat.

First time I have brought Fav up...lol, but I notice you have a neat little trick. Selective omission let’s call it, if you know the answer is correct but goes against what you are trying to prove, you leave it out.

I’ve seen dozens of people here who have said Gresch is the better downfield passer, yet you seem to ignore that because the comeback is always “he has a better completion percentage, RARELY commenting on what everyone else seems to see, and acknowledge.

I point out Fav has low numbers because he hasn’t played for awhile, and you completely ignore that instead going off on some crazy tangent that is not true in regard to me. We seem to have another guy that was also a push rush specialist, and he is still in the team and rarely plays according to others that post here.

The truth is about the entire picture, not selective parts. We see Trump do that every day, in fact most politicians. 😂
