Zach Schacht Verbal Commit (Sort of)

I don’t like disparage anyone but my sources tell me that Zach has been seen by the coaching staff and their feeling is he would not be a good fit for the program at this time. After another year of high school and maturity and skill development this may change.

I have been trying to get ahold of everyone involved to do a full story about the grey area and miscommunication...but I can confirm through sources close to the program, Schacht does not hold a scholarship offer nor has he verbally committed to any scholarship offer from the Montana coaching staff at this time.

Thanks for the update. I guess someone got him to post it as a way to get more people to notice him. With that said, I sure hope he develops his game enough to become a GRIZ.

So what is this supposed to tell me?

Either the prospect, his head coach, both or the Missoulian is confused by the situation. Trying to get to the bottom of it but like I said, the kid has no offer and has not committed.

This is all so strange.

Tia Schacht said her son had told Griz assistant coach Rachi Wortham he wanted to commit, but after talking to Wortham on Saturday she discovered the coaching staff couldn’t accept the commitment because of Zach’s academics. She said she was told that Zach would have to improve his grades before he could attempt to commit again.
