Bob Meseroll, who has been with the Missoulian for 25 years and is their sports editor, announced today he's been laid off by the paper. Very sorry to hear that, I've known Bob since his days in Idaho Falls and he's a good man and a good reporter. Hate to see what's happened to the newspaper business in recent years -- and what it's done to good people.

Wow. First Kyle Sample, now Bob Meseroll. I guess the Missoulian will no longer provide Grizzly Basketball news.

The tragedy of this situation is that Bob's an older, veteran writer nearing retirement (shades of Mick Holien) but obviously not quite ready to hang em up. I feel badly for Bob and wish him the best.
