Man, I love those old school Montana uniforms.... :thumb:

Those are our "official" school colors and represent the importance of agriculture in our state's history. If I'm not mistaken, the gold represents the importance of the sugar beet plant in our state's history and the orange represents our proud tradition in the production of gourds, especially the pumpkin.

I heard the orange was supposed to be amber to represent the "amber waves of grain" but someone screwed up the color so they went with gourds?

I'm told Swarthout changed the colors to "Texas Orange" when he came in. Apparently, he had some sort of Texas roots...please confirm or :grenade: .
