That would be correctHeard that Braden Gunlock committed to BYU. [Classof2025]
Did Lady Griz offer? That would be correct
Never heard of that one way or another. ?Did Lady Griz offer?
Yes:Did Lady Griz offer?
She’s a really good ball player. She’s getting a ton of group of 5 interest. Offered by most of the BSC, several Ivies. Plays on a NW club team that included ‘24 commit Waddington.
Interested to learn about these 3 star 24s still looking for D1 offers.Wow. someone got an offer. Damn. Don't hear that every day. Most 'Group of Five' teams usually offer twenty to thirty a year, it seems: first come first served, if you like.
That still means that we go into next years' campaign with ten players plus one walk-on; doesn't look auspicious. If we have the same number of injuries as last year the LG would almost have to forfeit the season; down to six players plus a walk-on. I hear you have to have seven players on the team per match to comply with the NCAA Regulations concerning such circumstances.
Now that the 'Portal' is closed does that mean the LG are not recruiting the Class of 2024 anymore, besides?
'Cause I know of a couple names for the Class of 2024 that haven't committed as yet, for all I know, which may not be much, but, not naming names, they are rated three-stars, at least. And no information over the Internet says otherwise.
Portal has been around a lot longer than 1 yr. Yes lots of HS players....lots of good players will go to lower levels and then transfer up potentially. But lots of 4 or 5 stars that get a D1 opportunities are also over hyped and tranfer down levels as well. The point is college basketball recruiting goes in this order....Portal, International, JUCO, Prep School, HS. The last 3 can be rearranged based on conference, school, level doing the recruiting. Once players were allowed transfer and with immediate playing eligibility the portal essential opened (before the portal was actually created). Believe 2018-2019 this started.Well, I wouldn't necessarily say for certain, though I know one still of the Class of 2024 that has had offers but as yet has not committed; at least I haven't heard of such so far. Another may be due to politics. Don't know.
If the 'Portal' these days 'is and always will be the first option most D1 coaches will choose from,' which is quite an extreme approach after but one year of it being available, I guess most high school kids then, unless they're four and/or five star rated, I guess the majority of such others that aren't 4 or 5 star rated will have to go Division II and then hit the 'Portal' to get to the level their talents can aspire to. The ones that were only rated three star and/or less, that is.
Coaching isn't still just sitting on the bench taking credit for what someone does, is it? Mode the players within a system and notice talents and emphasize those and turn weaknesses into strengths. Oh well, you've already closed down 71 colleges and universities the last twenty or so years already. I mean, who needs colleges and universities these days, anyways.
I was wondering about the same about McKylee Hawkins and Vida Rack out of the State of Washington; no news on their colleges of choice, either.Walk Ons? Heard recently Chloe Larsen turned down a spot at ISU and a full ride at Weber. Is she a potential walk on for the LG?
She is possibly the best player left unsigned in MT. Is she going JUCO? PREP? Or is she gonna settle for walk on spot to UM?
She is a kid with a ton of upside. Wonder why nobody in Frontier, Cascade, GNAC or RMAC has picked her up? It's late in the recruiting process and many kids filter down or never select a school.
Wonder where she ends up
We heard that Vida Rack tore her ACL and missed her entire senior yr. We also heard is a number of 4 yr schools that were recruiting her are trying to stuff her at Prep or JUCO for a year. ELITE PREP in Seattle who has one of the best players in country playing for them is an option. If she is a real good player those schools will stuff her at a National JUCO. Region 18 with CSI, SLCC, etc could also be an option. This could all be rumor but the injury is real.I was wondering about the same about McKylee Hawkins and Vida Rack out of the State of Washington; no news on their colleges of choice, either.
Her Xavier Bio mentions rehab. Anyone know what that refers to?Looks like a pretty good pickup! Xavier’s got a dog shit team, but it looks she played sparingly. Played 25 minutes against Marquette, and her season high was 6 points against Bowling Green. Has 3 years remaining.
Averaged 21ppg in high school which is outstanding. Should be a great addition to our backcourt. Appears to be our Macey Huard replacement
Her 3-point shooting in high school makes me think she might be more like Maggie's replacement.Looks like a pretty good pickup! Xavier’s got a dog shit team, but it looks she played sparingly.
