Not essentially football related.... directly

So which conclusion have Mike's friends come to...that Mike's actions are OK because of the actions Davey took or that people are pissed that only Mike is facing the music?

I think your mistake, as well as some others, is that what Davey complained of was not "innocuous". He went over the line, in fact, in my view, way over the line. He wasn't exercising some First Amendment right to comment. He was harassing and stalking her, and had made some comments that were deemed to be threatening. And, when he was asked about those statements, he couldn't explain them.

The judge basically told him to leave her alone. UM has apparently told him to stay off campus and away from Griz athletics.

Not one of you posting in support, or semi-support, of him in this thread would have done what he did, and I doubt that any of you would ever do that.

Completely agree. Actions have consequences, and Alpha finally reaped some of what he sowed.

I have never met the guy but I cannot reconcile some of the claims made on here about what a great guy he is with the vile, horrible statements he has made to and about women, here and elsewhere. The statements that, "he would give you the shirt off his back" must only mean to men... Because that statement infers making a sacrifice for another person, and Alpha can't even speak politely to women who have the audacity to disagree with him. Would he give GG the shirt off his back? No.. He just calls her disgusting names. So you can say what a great guy he is all you want but his own words and actions prove you wrong.

Also spot on!!!
Again, speaking of the man as if you know him when you clearly don’t. Daveys actions and words prove she’s a vile, despicable human being but because she’s female she gets a gigantic pass—from both the court system and the court of public opinion.

Whatever. I’ve met Mike. I know him. I’m proud to call him a friend and I really don’t give two shits what other people think of that.

Quite a few people agree with you and feel the same way you do. Mike wasn't what I expected when I showed up. Lots of toaster strudel there last night and there is still quite a bit left in the parking lot from people throwing it at each other. Interesting group of people

..what a double standard we truly live in these days..

I agree. Imagine if Obama had nailed and then paid off porn stars for their silence.

If we lined up every man in America who had paid for sex, we could reach Mars without a rocket ship. I think Barrack preferred men anyhow. Who Trump screwed 10 years ago is of no consequence, and he will never reach the number of women that Billy Bob Clinton harpooned in his life. At least they won't have to Hazmat the Oval Office after Trump leaves like they did after Slick Willy left.

Toaster strudel. Add a bed sheet and the next morning you have a superman......

Pretty sure his post does not say "Paid for Sex".

Sounds like the Billings incident which was mentioned somewhere in the roundup of events. I don't know the specifics, but it sounded like Davey was "stalking, intimidating or harass(ing)" this guy, even more than she claims AG1 came at her. That's what makes this so goddamned galling. Looks like a little 'extra-judicial' justice. The old saying, 'what goes around, comes around' in real life terms. Remember your Montana history, Dutch? You a real Montanan, or a transplant?

Hard to believe this f***!n@ thread is still on the main page.

Seriously - move it already. Political, locker room, bench, delete. WTF?

This topic is a big deal and has impacted UM football and egriz directly. It is exactly the type of topic that should be discussed in this forum.

The story is still the lead story on the Missoulian.

WRONG! Took the mods 6-7 pages, but finally moved this crap where it belongs. :thumb:

Oh, and what did he do with the porn star to warrant paying for her silence, play Cribbage?

Your comprehension isn't great.

Born and raised Statler as were both my parents and one set of grandparents. To your point about her stalking or harassing him, that may well be but if he wanted to do anything about it he could have filed his own avidavidt and petition for a protective order against her. The problem with your argument is that he chose not to for some reason. You can’t fault the court if he and his lawyer saw fit not to pursue it. If he had I would bet that the court would have issued reciprocal orders of protection against each of them which would have prevented her from posting anything about him. But because he didn’t do that for what ever reason no one can fault the court. What do you think will come around in the case? Thanks

Why the Billings guy didn't go after her is a mystery, but he has his reasons. Why local law enforcement weren't involved is another mystery. Water under the bridge, apparently. It is my understanding AG1 was giving that left wing activist POS a taste of her own medicine. The 21st centuries equivalent of X Beidler, so to speak. As for AG1, I hope he prevails in his appeal.

Something told me you were born and bred Montanan. Excellent! Now I know eGriz has at least two native Montanan lawyers, the other one I refuse to acknowlege, as it is one of the worst things you could do to that type of personality. Kind of like water to the Wicked Witch of the West. You're a breath of fresh air on this board, Dutch.

X? Lol. did you pull that out of your ass or did you remember him from Tooles classes? I’m not sure I would conflate alpha with X.

Totally off point here, My old man was born on the family homestead in the centennial valley on red rock lake in beaverhead county. His birth certificate never got recorded in Dillon until 3 years after he was born because they never got to town very often. The homesteads played out and failed and then the whole area was taken over by the federal government and turned it into the rd rock lakes trumpeter swan national wildlife refuge. In 1935 there were only 70 trumpeter swans left in North America now there close to 50,000. If you ever get a chance it’s worth the drive to see a really remote high altitude valley with very little development. It right on the Idaho border. Fall is pretty cool if you like to duck hunt. The Koch boys own a large part of the valley. Go though Dillon on I 15 and take a left at Lima and then drive about 40 -50 miles on a dirt road you can drive out through the Ruby valley in Madison county. Its kind of has a Yellowstone park feel to it, what I mean is it’s wide open rugged country where there were no second chances brutal winters and short summers. We were able to find the foundation of the family home. When the Fish and Wildlife Service took the area over they razed and burned all the abandoned homesteads. My grandmother stayed on the homestead with the family through the winter while my grandfather worked in the Butte mines to support the homestead. He always wanted to be a farmer instead of a miner and he won the deed to the homestead in a poker game in Anaconda. Lol. After the homestead failed he spent the rest of his life underground.
