Reality--What a Concept!

We are just fine. Were we too one dimensional last night? Yes and any team that is one dimensional can be beat by taking that dimension away. We just need to shoot a little better which we can do. Actually if we have teams sell out in the paint then we are dictating their play as they are playing a one dimensional defense. We just have to open up by knocking down some shots. Then they have to adjust to the perimeter a bit more and when they do we drop back down to the paint and then we are really dictating their play. Dont count us out in Idaho yet. Win in Idaho and alot of this angst and doubt will slip away.

Good post CMT. The team learned lessons at Pitt, Penn State, and Washington. There is a reason that UM played the difficult non-conference schedule, to help the guys face challenges, develop more confidence, and fight through some adversity. This is another one of those challenges.

Yep. I like to think they will pass the challenge. This team will be even tougher to beat in Reno on a neutral floor when it matters most.

I think this team is at its best when it does not have to rely on the 3's. Penetration and getting to the basket...then kicking it out for a 3 seemed to work best. Not being a 3 point reliant team.

That's the problem though. Become one dimensional and watch teams pack the paint and make the Griz make consistent 3's, which they have proven is not their strength.

It's not as if the GRIZ cannot shoot the 3. For the vast majority of the conference season, they led the league in three point shooting percentage. They're just in a bit of a shooting slump. It happens, particularly late in the season when tired legs and travel take their toll. They'll be fine.

Yeah, also, it's not as though EWU and I-dee-ho had wide open uncontested 3-point attempts. For the most part they were well-guarded and had a hand in their face. But both teams threw in some well-defended shots from deep. All you can do is shake their hands and congratulate them when they're shooting like that.

at least your shooting slump hasn't lasted the entire season... :(
