University of Where ever Cowboys

Mike Person of Glendive is likely to make the 53 for Rams.

Did Schillinger and Hilliard hang them up?

Also, I don't think Wendling is on a roster right now. Great athlete though who might be on a roster again soon.

Something to consider in the 'move up' argument. Apparently they are Wyoming in name only. Montana would be no different.

Totally irrelevant: The number of home grown players will be of zero importance in any UM decision to move up or stay put . UW's Huskies team has waaay more Californians than Washingtonians on its 2014 roster (more than 50 by last count) What conclusion do you draw from that? Washington has a population of 7 million - Wyoming fewer than 600,000. The Cowboys were lucky to find even the 10 homies who landed a spot on this year's roster. Year in and year out the Griz roster tells a similar story. That's hardly a surprise to most folks!
Not necessarily. Here's a breakdown of players by state. As you can see Montanans almost double the Californians which has the second most.

For the Montanans I also broke them down by city. I love to see Missoula leading the way. It wasn't too long ago you would be very hard pressed to find more then one or two on the roster.

Montana seems to have a very rich football tradition. I can think of a couple of Montana football families in the name of Elway and Petrino. Colorado State's Sonny Lubick is from Montana. I'm sure there are others.

And for the record, I'm a native Montanan having been born in Glasgow (not that I add to Montana's rich football tradition... :D )

Don't sell yourself short...you're a tremendous slouch!

Sorry for the D1 reference....but I think I'm right in saying Montana and Montana State have been one level lower than Wyoming in football for the past 30+ years if not longer. FBS is a different level than FCS, 1A is a different level than 1AA. I know the difference.

My point is the development of kids during their 4 years of school. If they were Wyoming HS kids, some of the UM players in the NFL (Anderson, Mariani, Biermann, Schillinger, Tripp, Coyle) might never have been offered by FBS D1 Wyoming (Too small, slow, looking at 3 or 4 star kid at same position, etc., etc.)

Isn't this topic about how Wyoming has no Wyoming HS players on their two deep chart? My contention is Wyoming is FBS and recruits "FBS" players rather than kids from Wyoming, many of whom might develop into NFL quality players.
