Max orris may not have started if he stayed at HHS. Terrible attitude, terrible teammate.
Interesting. I hadn't heard that but thank you for your info, it will be interesting to see how he pans out at Glacier.

Gotta wonder what makes 'bear dis on a 17 year old kid. I don't know anything about it except having coached against Max in traveling basketball when he was in grade school and to this day he greets me and my son at any Butte-HHS event and is always polite and engaging. I'm not sure moving to Glacier is a better place to get a starting spot either. Just sayin.

It might not be dissing, he might just be saying that Max isn't a good teammate, he could still be a good person. And I don't know him personally but I have heard other reports that Max wasn't a team player for the Bengals, this was the first of two or three others

For a change of opinion here, Max was asked to fill-in for the injured Taylor England for a good chunk of the year last year and he improved every game as blocker. He was already a good receiver so he definitely sacrificed some receiving yards to block for Helena High's run heavy scheme. I've also heard from several Helena High people that he will be sorely missed this year as he was really close with QB Kaleb Winterburn and was also an exceptional student. And please, he would've definitely started for this year's Helena High team.

For sure would have started. Personally I think his talents are over exaggerated by some, but he is a top 50 player in the state in my opinion. But it will be interesting to see his transition to Glacier, with all the other studs they currently have he might have to play the same role he did last year as a primary blocking TE

He will be the starting TE at Glacier and will take the spot vacated by the graduation of Pat O'Connell.

Yeah no question he was going to start, I just can't see him getting the ball with the other studs there. Pepe, Turner...I see them getting the majority of touches and Morris as a blocker, possibly used as a option based on who they play week by week

Well I can't help you if you can't see it. It isn't very hard to predict how good their offense is going to be next year. From his TE position last year, Pat O'Connell caught 36 balls for 695 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2016. Actually, he led the team in receiving yards, was second in receptions, and tied for 1st in touchdowns. The same offense also featured Drew Turner, Scout Willcut (2016 graduate), Jackson Pepe, Andrew Durado (2016 graduate) and Ethan Larson. Ethan Larson and Pepe will line up at WR (though Pepe is their primary slotback as he can take carries from the backfield), Morris at TE, and Turner and junior-to-be Cole Crosby in the backfield. Grady Bennett's offense always spreads the ball around and gets production from whoever lines up at TE. If anything, Max will be one of Glacier's best weapons as a receiving threat next year. And they won't lose a ton of production from the QB position because Brady Peiffer can spin it. In my opinion, Glacier has the best offense in AA for the 2017 season.

Now their defense, that's another story. They have lost a lot of stars from that side of the ball the past three seasons. I'll just say this, Glacier's offense will have to score a lot of points next year.

Guess we'll have to wait and see. He'll get his touches I'm sure. No doubt about that. But all I know is what I saw on his film, and while he has size, he lacks physicality. Mediocre blocker and about average when running routes. I wish I would have seen him be more physical with the ball too, he stops his legs when he makes contact with a tackler too often. I'm not doubting one minute Grady will put him to good use, Grady is one of the best coaches in the state.
