Don’t sleep on Braxton Hill.

I think Hill will be a player. He broke his collarbone in practice a couple weeks ago.

Well that sucks. But it's a quick heal....been there, done that. Certainly shouldn't affect him for spring ball...just keep him out of the weight room for several weeks.

T: Beaver, Anderson
G: Mallory, Kanouse
C: Martin, Quick
G: Pillans, Ganoung
T: Cook, Kientz

LT Conlan Beaver (23) R-Sr LT2 Sean Anderson (0) R-So.
RT Dylan Cook, (11) R-Sr RT2 Colton Keintz (16) R-So
LG Tyler Ganoung (2) R-So LG2 Kordell Pillans (2) R-Sr
RG Moses Mallory (12) Jr RG2 Transfer???
C Skyler Martin (4) R-Jr C2 Connor Quick (0) R-So

O-line is interesting and going into 2020 there are some players with good game day experience. Beaver with the most, LT looks to be his position to hold or lose, 2019 Pillans had a couple starts and spelled several snaps at LG, looked as good as Angel. Mallory established himself as a leader and anchored the RG position, right side is the natural run side so would think he stays there. Right tackle was ultimately won by Cook and he works well with Mallory, would think keeping that tandem together in 2020 makes sense. Center is wide open. My thoughts based on experience would be Colton could move to Center, at first glance it doesn’t make sense, however in HS he was a long snapper and if he has kept up on those skills he could break into a starting role again.

LT Beaver Sr 6-5 301/ Andersen R-So 6-7 301
LG Pillans Sr 6-6 333/ Ganoung R-So 6-5 320
C Keintz R-Jr 6-8 304/Martin R-Jr 6-5 284/ Quick R-So 6-3 278 (wouldn’t be surprised to see him moving up depth chart, even being starting C)
RG Mallory SR 6-3 350/Kanouse JR 6-6 318
RT Cook SR 6-6 285/Welnel 6-4 270 R So/Keintz ( of course if C isn’t an option for him)

In 2020 the O-line could easily be a strength instead of a liability. A slide at the end of the year, but much improved group in 2019 with needed experience. Third year under this staff should pay big dividends in 2020. Been a while to have four Sr.s starting on O-line.

DE: Gubner, McGlourin
DT: Alford, Demming
DE: Babros, Mamula
Also, RJ Nelsn, G. Poetzl, A. Hurburt, L. Brown, C. Rosling, and incoming J. Grimsrud and H. Nuce.

REB: O'Connell, Nagler
LB: Welnel, Hill
LB: Lewis, Matthews
Also, T. Flink, R. Tirrell, M. Vinyard, K.Edwards, and incoming A. Croy, and C. Johansen.
May be room for offensive players in this group like G. Graves or C. Curry, Curry has a body type like Rice and played D-back in HS with the number of TEs he might be a good REB rotator who can rush or cover, the height like Gubner plays well in the drop zone coverages.

S: Robertson, McGinnis
S: Fouch, Pepe
S: Hauck, Crow
Also, D. Koppang, J. Schnider, N. Guerena, R. Meyer, M. Feight, and incoming R. Daniels.

CB: Nash, Egbo
CB: Walker, Toliver
Also, T. Gradney, E. Dewaters, M. Tolliver, and incoming A. Soe. Isn’t there a possibility for K. Hemphill to get another year of eligibility due to injury in 2019.

Overall depth on defense is improving with additional CB and or big body on D-line. Once again LBers look to be a strength with Safeties, and the DE depth can spell interior D-line for pass rush.
If defense can get more turnovers this group can be real good.

I am guessing Egbo is not coming back to this team despite having a year of eligibility (maybe another with medical) based off this article. If he’s home in Arizona right now probably not a good sign.

The article says he retired from football

...and then finishes up by saying he may not be done with football yet...weird.

He’s not on the GoGriz roster anymore, good luck Mr. Egbo!

Props to the young man for getting a degree in biology.

Graves will be a safety, and possibly utility at receiver. Vinyard is out. New OSU guys will factor in the corner competition.
