“An offer to play”…does that mean a PWO or a scholarship I wonder?

It very well could be a regular offer also I believe he competed at the espn 300 camp in Salt Lake City.

I hope so...as much as I would love him to be a Griz, it's really awesome when in state kids can GO OUT OF STATE to play FBS football...
Nebraska may be decent this year as well.

I don't know. Peru State and St. Augustine University are some mighty tough competition.

I totally get the late developers etc that people mentioned earlier when I brought it up, but again, if the Griz are competing against Peru State and St. Augustine for recruits, with so many at least available in the portal, I'm just at a loss. My hope is more that over the summer there will be a few new comers that aren't even on the radar. Need a few positions for depth yet.
Agree with the Corner thing I’m actually starting to get a a little concerned we haven’t added anybody and only have 1 offer out. With social media now a days and the shark tweets we would have to have known about these kids I will admit I didn’t know about the 2 punter transfers and the Osteen ucla kid but I’ve known about almost everyone else especially if the kids will be contributing.

A lot of Jr College and Transfers don't post thier offers/ moving like the high schoolers do. Don't really know why, it's just the case.

I would not worry

This crazy portal is going to totally gut lower level divisions
Dude come on, that’s just not true. The portal cuts both ways

Totally true. A Div 1 fcs player and a very rare d 2 has appeal to an fbs team for a recruiting miss.
Where does an fcs team plunk from 🤔 that appeals to an athlete, wanting a chance at some nil? Think fbs to fcs is really still the norm as prior years? No. Fbs will stay Fbs, if they can. Fcs is the new Fbs JUCO, if they have multiple years.
You want a multi year player? Most likely looking at d 2, 3 Juco, to keep them on the roster.

I will also add, prior to about 2015, there were very few defections I recall the Griz losing roster kids to an fbs. Definitely to another fcs, for academic reasons.
Proofs already in the puddin. We had a all star punter leave for Nebraska which followed Toure.
Sac rb leaving for AZ St when he was already a stud fcs. Fcs will become more of a watered down football because the portal has leveaged less emphasis on traditional recruiting for a kid in the program for four yrs.

Look at Kentucky basketball. Come play for us for a year and go.
Now you tell me, why any reasonable ranked football athletes, outside of the state of Montana that has no ties, is going to stick with the program for 4 yrs, when A, relevance is gone. B. We have no fair level NIL. C. BIG Teams name now come calling for a transfer because it's less risky over a possibly overrated high school kid

The portal has wrecked college basketball. The BSC is a shell of its former glory, and the constant roster shuffle will chase off the casual fan.

For every Toure that moves up, there’s a Forbes, Mayginnes, or Gavin Robertson or Justin Ford that moves down and is hugely impactful. To say it’s a one way street is wrong and disingenuous.

Let's put an even finer point on this. When his departure was announced, Hauck went out of his way to say that Toure had played his four normal seasons, while doing everything asked of him and more while playing in Missoula. He couldnt blame him for wanting to better himself with B10 compettion Like all the folks in this era, he was granted a covid season and felt he had done everyhting he could do to help the team over the top. Would have loved to have seen him one more year, but the reality is this decision got him noticed for his ultimate goal, the NFL. Absolutely the right move.
