Could someone tell me what is going on with Alphonso Anderson?

Injured and had surgery on his knee, I think. He is redshirting this year.
I have not seen him at the last couple of home games. Akoh and Dorsey were there. I assume he may be back home during the break.

I recently heard that they haven't been impressed with Alphonso and don't think they want him back next year. It was said in much less flattering terms. Hopefully it's not true. I'm very excited about him as a player.

Given our now very apparent need for more real post players, if there any update on the status of Alphonso? I realize he can't play until next season, but I sure hope he will be here!

Kelby has great court awareness, terrific hands for a big, soft touch, and very intelligent. He uses his length well too. When he goes to block a shot, for the most part he is keeping good position, not throwing his arms all over the place, and goes straight up. He also secures the ball nicely with both hands and keeps the ball high. Fundamentally, he has been coached well. He only has to work on his quickness and running the floor. A lot to like about this kid. From his videos, he has a lot of upside. Hard to know how long it will take for him to transition to Div 1 ball. I expect a few years though. I am hoping for sooner.

Not true.. Alphonso is with the team, he's fine, he's not leaving, coaches still love him. He went back for break, had his knee looked at again just staying on top of it. He's very close to his family, particularly his sister, they needed to and got to spend some quality time together. Really wish shit like that wasn't even said on here unless you know.

Here is all I could find on Olsen for video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT4BY2ofDyA
Hard to really evaluate much on him from it. The only thing I could get from it, he is a good distributor, that makes solid passes. I'd like to see more as for his shooting, defense, and ball handling. Physically, reminded me of Criswell.

NICE!!!! That is much better. Terrific floor general. At times reminded me of Criswell, other times, Gregory. It would be great to see him throwing alley oops to the likes of Oguine, Pridgett, Nicholas, and Alphonso. :thumb:

If reminds you of Criswell or Gregory, whats not to like. I know you like Gregory as all time but Criswell was hard to beat.

5'10" 155 lbs...... who's he going to cover? Criswell and Gregory both had more size. I'd like to see us get a big guard like Sanders or Blaznyuk!!

Verbal has him at 6' 180lb

Per ESPN, Braden is the number three ranked high school player in Oregon this year. With the departure of Wright and Dunn after this season, I can see the need for recruiting a point guard. We do have four new players 6'7' or better (Dorsey, Akoh, Anderson and Nicholas) who could play next year.
