I think the only year those two overlapped was 2003 when Kane was a senior and lex was a true frosh. Game was in Bozeman, Corey smith ran back opening kickoff.

Stoll put a nasty hit on the App State RB, sending him out of the game at the very end. He ran off wobbly.

You can even see Stoll on his hands and knees recovering from the hit.

KT had another one against SDSU that was just as impressive...can't find the link anywhere tho.

KTs hit on the SDSU TE was more impressive than his hit on Matt Cline because of the size difference IMO.

poor Griz QB Scott Waak received the hardest and most-devastating hit in Washington-Griz Stadium and most-likely Griz history. This was before games were on Tv and the band-wagon was still in it's infancy, so I doubt many remember it. The crowd gasped in unison and went completely silent for the 10 minutes? or so it took before he was carted off and we all wondered if he was paralyzed or maybe even dead. I've seen 100's of Griz games and this is the one that will always stand out to me. Waak never played another down of football after that hit.

That was the one I was thinking about, I was at that game too. That was not a good thing. I think even the LB who hit him was kind of shook up after that. He was all pumped up then........

Keith Thompson will forever live on as the hardest hitter DB in GRIZ history. It would be nice to have a DB hitter like him every season. Which GRIZ planted the EWU qb into GRIZ turf in 2015? That was the hardest hit of a qb I've ever seen live.

Hardest hitting DB? Harder than Tim Hauck? He's up there, but I doubt it.

It was quite a punch though, you had to be there to believe it. Brody was running around the bar yelling "I run this place" pushed some girl aside on the way to the bar and the girl's boyfriend called him out on it and he told him to F*** off and this guy dropped him one punch. His teammates didn't do a thing, shows what they thought of Brody.

That never happened...that is completely made up.

It's gotta be the hit by the kid from Troy in the chipper (McElmurry). It wasn't just a nice hit, it literally had the biggest impact on our program. Changed the tenor of that game (and the following flag by Marshall helped too)

Totally agree! That was a monster hit, and Blaine McElmurry is one of favorite players all time.

...though if we're talking about the bobcats, watching McSurdy decleat bobcat after bobcat over in Bozeman enroute to a dominating performance (I forget the year) was both funny and heartwarming.
