Next EWU Coach

On the Eagle sight they're mentioning Best and Chaves a lot.

Chaves is the athletic director who has made some good hires there, according to them. Best is one of their assistants who has been there forever.

No problem. I think there's a definite chance that Best gets hired as head coach

Special Teams: Coach Bobby Hauck worried by the possible effects of skin cancer in beautiful San Diego will take his ultimate fall back job and join ewu.

Uh, they make nose shields for that, dumbass!

You must be related to VEER-ahhh.

This will absolutely hurt them on many levels. Baldwin is a great coach and the is a huge reason for their success. It's hard for me to root for a Big Sky team to get weaker though, I'd rather the Griz just get better ;)

I agree. It is good for the conference to have a strong EWU program. It will be extremely difficult for them to replace Baldwin. Hopefully they find someone who can at least keep them competitive.

Welp...I guess they just aren't going to have any coaches in Eastern next year. First ever player-ran team.

Lol that's awesome :thumb:

Thet'll still average 55 a game...using their classic..."run as far as you can and get 10 yards behind all defenders" play....

works every time.

Article on in house candidates getting their interview process...
However, other outside candidates emerged Thursday, all with local ties:

Ty Gregorak, the current defensive coordinator at Montana State who held the same position for four years at Montana. A West Valley High School product, the 37-year-old Gregorak played at Colorado. He’s been at MSU for just one season under new coach Jeff Choate.

Big Human Returns!
I think a place like Cheney deserves nothing but the best the big sky can offer:
EWU/Big Sky coaching dream team:

Head Coach: John L. Smith
Unfortunately, after two weeks he will resign as head coach to become the next head football coach at his alma mater, Central Washington University. During the Press Conference to report his departure, the EWU AD will immediately name former MSU Head Coach Cliff Hysell as the EWU interim Head Coach. The AD had mistakenly confused former MSU Head Coach Cliff Hysell with former MSU Head coach Earle Solomonson, a very common thing to do. After a reporter reminded the AD that Coach Hysell had passed away a few years ago, the EWU AD abruptly announced that Coach Mick Delaney, age 93, will once again be called out of retirement to once again right the ship.

Offensive Coordinator: Coach Tim Cramsey who will be accompanied by EWU's new Ball Boy Lead Dakota Prukop.

Defensive Coordinator: Coach Ty Gregorak: Tired of being relegated to the coaches booth and having his defensive schemes undermined by yet another head coach, Coach TG strikes out once again to find his dream job.

Special Teams: Coach Bobby Hauck worried by the possible effects of skin cancer in beautiful San Diego will take his ultimate fall back job and join ewu.

Make-up & Hair Coordinator: Coach Ron Ash

NCAA Compliance Monitor: Coach Mike Krammer: If anyone knows an NCAA Violation its MIKE!
NCAA Compliance Monitor Assistant: Coach Joe O'Brien

Actually they really are considering Ty Gregorak....

Aaron Best is probably the leader in the clubhouse, he's been at and most likely will be at EWU forever and the players absolutely love him. I'd love to see Jimmy Lake, but doubt he'd take the pay cut. Will be interesting to see who applies and who Eastern is looking at, if anyone outside the program. Eastern returns a ton of talent, and as of right now has the top 1 or 2 FCS recruiting class coming in next year, that is if all those kids stay committed now...

It's official.... Best new HC

So true. And of course, that matters more.
