This team peaked in week one. It's not the type of team that gets better each week. Doesn't have the right pieces this year.

Well, what is frustrating for Coach Stitt is that this is Chad's "quarterbacking." He's doing what he knows what to do. And it's pretty good, but this is a situation where the coach is adjusting to the QB, and not the other way around.

Good lord. You aren't even a "glass half empty" kind of guy, are you? I mean, you must think the glass is COMPLETELY empty...

After week one our PPG have been 19, 21, 23, 27. And points allowed the last three weeks have been 31, 14, 13. SURE Looks like its going in the right direction to me.

The Good - You Won and your D

The Bad - Your Offense

The Ugly - Watching that game (sorry but it was absolutely brutal to watch)

UC Davis looks like a D2 team and Stitt's offense (for the reputation he has) looks awful. You guys need Brady back!

Your Defense does look really, really good.

Best recipe for your offense, a home game against Weber, they may be worse than UC Davis.

We struggled to beat a bottom tier conference team in a bottom tier conference. The PPG isn't doing much for me. The team that beat NDSU went like a fart in the wind. The regression, not progression.

The question was about the good, bad, and ugly in todays game. So from a 14 point road win by the Griz you are able to not only dismiss a win over a team that is 61-3 (or 61-4 counting our win) but also write off a whole conference? UND; who beat a FBS team coached by NDSU's version of Bear Bryant, beat PSU; who beat a PAC-whatever number they have now team, played a nail bitter today and they are not even expected to contend in this "mediocre" conference.

We play in a conference where two mid-pack teams beat two of the big kids and this is mediocre? Any chance your expectations are a tad high?

No. NDSU held the #5 team to -4 rush yards today. That's what improvement is. There are 3 teams in the BSC that matter, MSU, UM, EWU. No other teams matter. UM had trouble beating a bottom tier team, MSU did their best reenactment of a WAC game, and EWU has just as much defense as MSU. If you're OK with making the playoffs then all of these teams are OK. But none of these teams are even legitimate if you want to win championships.
 
BornGrizz, I have an honest question. Are you saying that IF the 2015 Griz aren't legitimate national championship contenders, then wins don't count? are you saying fans should bail? not care? not enjoy the team they've loved and been loyal to all of their lives?

How did we do against SDSU? Wait, we didn't play them, but we beat the team that beat them. So how does that make us not "even legitimate? And please don't give us the "it was a one off game, so it's a fluke" thing. Every football title that's been one since the 60's including 50 odd Superbowls is a one-off win.

Yeah, cat fans said NAU looked very D2 like against the Grizzlies and I also heard NDSU just wasn't what they have been lately. :coffee:

Weber! That's the game I picked to introduce my son to Griz football for the same reason. Hopefully look great and score plenty!
