Um, (respectfully, because I like you) no. There ARE some really neat places in New Mexico but Cruces isn't one of them. And both UM and NMSU are TERRIBLE in football so I hope this guy likes losing. (If you were in fact being sarcastic then I agree 100%.)

Well, having driven through Las Cruces 3 times in the past month, I would disagree. I think ( for NM, especially), it’s got a certain charm. Love the backdrop of the mountains….close to El Paso for casinos, etc., a person could do worse in NM.

This kid is the General on the field; I'm sure he has other FBS offers to sort through. Nothing to not like about this player other than our probability of getting him.

I don’t think so. His current offers are us and northern Colorado. He committed very early in June and shut things down. New coaching staff then tells him they won’t honor that offer. He could definitely get more offers but doesn’t have any to to sort through currently.
 
Heard we have a brother joining the o-line this spring. Also have several other transfer candidates in this weekend for visits.

Seems fortunate for us. Since he shut it down and the coaching staff change occurred so late and so close to signing day could be a blessing.

As for the brotherly connection, I'm hoping that brings more than one from WSU.

Yeah it’s FBS technically but worse facilities, no support, no tv deal, losing culture etc. that is an objectively worse place to be for a football program. They shouldn’t be a FBS team.

Agreed but Jerry Kill is their new head coach. He is an awesome coach, good recruiter, and would be high level power 5 if not for health issues. He may make that team respectable in spite of facilities.

He's never coached a team that he didn't make respectable.

Well, when it comes to NMSU, many have tried, but no one has succeeded… four winning seasons total since 1967, and one singular bowl appearance, in 2017. Good luck, Jerry. Y’all gonna need it.

Based on competitive offers and recent activity, id say of the known offers these are the 3 guys the Griz have a shot at. Greeley and Ferraro have multiple Fbs offers.
Whitehead visiting this weekend should lock him down.
Hopefully Bohle and Walton are visiting soon.
