Will be interesting to see where she will end up. If Binford likes her she will be aggressive in trying to get her just like with Chirrick, Erickson and potentially Gunlock

With the recent verbal granted by Dylan Philip's younger sister, Jamison (which I can't blame MSU for as Jamison Philip is 2A All-Conference as a sophomore averaging 12 ppg while her fellow 2A All-Conference sidekick was Olivia Anderson, #6 in the nation for [Class2024], it appears that the Griz will only have to go against out of state interests, other than recruiting against MSU for in-state recruits, for the [Class2025] prospects. MSU with the additions of Erickson, Carrick & Harris for [Class2024] their roster is booked solid with 15 players already for the 2024-25 campaign; unless someone leaves the team during the next two years, that is.

They have 14 already facing the coming 2023-34 campaign, with three seniors. Add three to next year's season roster (Erickson, Harris & Carrick) plus Jamison Philip and that's 15.

So any in-state prospect for the [Class2025] it's either the LG or out-of-state for Division I participation, that is. As far as I know. IMHO

That's also assuming all Cats return after this coming season. Rosters are always fluid especially nowadays. There are a lot of guards to keep happy with playing time, etc...just today's new normal. Recruiting the incoming class and rerecruiting those that you need to stay.

An intriguing possible recruit/project for the [Classof2025] listed as Post/Wing and as a PF some times as well, though only 6'1," as a sophomore for a 21 - 7 team last yeat averaged 9 ppg and 9 rbg, from Great Oak HS, temecula, Calif.:

The younger sister of Reagan Beers, that played as a sophomore on the same team as Macey Huard last year at Valor Christian HS, Colorado, might be an interesting prospect as well, considering the athleticism that predominates in their family, etc.; Reagan Beers, a McDonald's All-American that averaged 13 ppg as a freshman for Oregon State last year.

Does anyone know if the LG are recruiting Kennedy Moore 6'2 Wing/Post from Flathead HS? Seems like a solid local kid that has performed high level in HS. Did not play AAU and is a bit under the radar in our opinion.

Would seem like a no-brainer:

Also into the High Jump in Track and Field events.

Would be interesting to see if she visits campus this fall. Unofficial/official visits are currently taking place at a lot of places.

She is a talent but from our knowledge parents are an issue. Another guard to add to roster wise. Holsinger needs to land a substantial big to take this to the next level in our opinion.

Dymon Root is a NAIA/JUCO potentially D2, Gracie Millman is being recruited heavily by D3's, We know nothing of the Glacier kid in our opinion, Paige Lofing is NAIA...but has a year to build her resume. Please tell me Wyo that you are just suggesting? These are not D1, low major or mid major. No disrespect to those young ladies as playing at the next level is a blessing, but these girls are not D1 caliber.

LG should be focussed on Kennedy Moore, Quinn Mason and the oldest Gunlock kid from Bigfork.

Liz Gentry off the board to Creighton. Not sure we have any major remaining 2024 targets, but could definitely use a true big.

The bigs are the only elusive part to Holsinger's recruitment. Influx of guards/wings, but no substantial bigs and a few missed on in state. Williams, Covill, Erickson...Quinn, Moore????

The bigs mentioned by Wyo are not the answer in our opinion.

Transfer Portal? Will Oliver ever contribute to a maximum level...our guess is no, Greenslade will be a welcome addition based on physical stature, Will she translate into Hollsingers offense?

What about Holsinger's offense is based on attracting legit bigs? Development of those post players under his tutelage would speak volumes.

Bigs take time and effort to develop. It would be interesting to learn who on that staff works with the posts? Tinkle is our obvious choice. She has the experience to help. She would be a valuable asset in this department. Played the position at a high level. Hollsinger coached on staff with some legit BIGS at OSU...so who is in charge of that development and who can recruit and speak on the work with bigs to attrack that talent? We wonder if Williams, Covill or Erickson ever heard that pitch? Would be interesting to find out since all three went other places.

Those would be questions asked by AAU coaches, HS coaches and BIGS as recruits in our opinion.

I am so sorry that you're so exhumated. I must really exhaust your patience and your social status and all that.

Just Suggesting. Sure as hell nobody else gives a flying f**k around here. That's the TITLE of the thread, isn't it? "Lady Griz Recruiting 2024+?" Try and keep up. Whatever potentiality anyone has is possible; wouldn't you think? Sure as hell don't get any information about anything, anybody or whatever; schedule included from anybody. What? Privacy Act, again? Must be that dumbing down of America I've been hearing about. I mean, I see other web sites of athletic departments, Oregon State included, and there is interest and the whole debate about this, that and whatever about potentially whomever. UofM. Yeah. Who cares. All the talking heads in the stands just want to be patronized; as if Missoula is God's gift to the human race or something. Come and crawl for our benediction. I get that. And then they all bemoan that they can't get decent teams showing up in Missoula; whether for this sport or whatever, just because Missoula is much too too far away for other teams to consider. Tell that to the rest of the Pacific Northwest; nobody plays Gonzaga, Idaho, Washington Huskies and/or Washington State 'cause they're just too far, far, away. Yeah, right. Is that what we're reduced to playing but Wyoming and Boise State, etc. etc., etc.? Hell. Not even that anymore. Too far away for them to travel, again, huh? I guess all other teams assume that they're just too good to lower themselves to the common lot, I guess. Whatever.

As I said. No body else cares. I add some suggestions and I'm racked over the coals as if I'm doing something erroneous or something; hell, I'm but a fan and by the way, I'm even an alumnus. Big deal, right, moneybags? You're probably paid to do what you're doing, 'BigSkyBreakdown,' right? Guess what? I'm not. I'm but a first generation academician being what I consider a good fan. That's the TITLE of the thread. If you want no more opinions why don't you just shut down the egriz.com web site and eventually you can even close down the university; just like some other 71 colleges and universities have been shut down the last fifteen years or so. That way we won't crimp your style, right 'BigSkybreakdown.'

Sure as hell the UofM athletic department don't give a f**k.

For instance. back in '93 and '97 the UofM hosted the Western Regional of the NCAA Basketball Women's Tournament. After those years the NCAA offered another opportunity to host a Regional. What did the Athletic Department say to that? Much, much too much work for them to do. Yeah, right. Too much work for them to merely hire a bunch of senior citizens to usher; much, too much work for them to hire a bunch of high school kids to handle the concession stands. Just how much money came into the coffers of Missoula restaurants and motels during those times of hosting? And the UofM has a business school? Get real.

I make some suggestions; how about this one or that one. Nope. 'BigSkyBreakdown' says nope, Not that one. She's off the board. How about this one or that one. Nope. Haw. Haw. Haw. You're just not good enough Missoula. Man, 'BigSkyBreakdown' you're so superior. And I'm but a fan. Hate to besmirch your dignity. Hope I'm not lowering you too much to my level of fandom.
How about this one or how about that one; does the UofM recruit anymore? Who knows? What Says 'BigSkyBreakdown.' "Everybody is just too good for lowlife Missoula. Sorry for taking up some of your time and all that and my being so inferior for your acceptance. Sure as hell nobody else around here gives a God Damn.

I offer suggestions. What else. I live over four hundred miles away, fifty miles into the wilderness. Sure as hell no information about anyone, anything or whatever is shared with the UofM alumnus, fans, students, or anyone else on this planet about anything. So, are they aware of anyone over there in Missoula. They're like a bunch of Trappist monks or something. Why even bother with donations when all we get in return is nothing? Hell, it took you to suggest Kennedy Moore; right out of Missoula's backyard no less. What are they?...having an inferiority complex or something? Too bad it isn't like they were at Oregon State, huh? Too bad the coaching staff had to lower themselves to my level. We're the one's that flew B-17s into Berlin; we're the ones that covered the asses of those that made their introduction into North Africa that later landed at Normandy.

You wonder how old I am; don't bother. I heard of that that was part of the 326th Bomb Squadron that made the first trip from Dow Army Air Force Base in Maine into Scotland (the North Atlantic Ferry Route), a 1600 mile trip with fifty miles of fuel to spare. The rest that followed? A ten per cent attrition rate in conveyance. Lucky to get there in the first place, I guess. Ordered to set up and operate the CCRC (Combat Crew Replacement Center) once gotten there. Gene Roddenberry a B-17 pilot; how about that? By the way, the CCRC distribution? That's the whole shooting match for the 8th Army Air Corps; 326th BS, the first ones to show up and the last ones to leave. Thank you very much 'BigSkybreakdown.'

How's that for your superiority complex, 'BigSkyBreakdown?" Sometimes I wonder why we even bothered. Henry Cabot Lodge would be proud of ya.

Hey, the hell with them WyomingGr4iaFan. I really ENJOY reading your content.
PLEASE continue providing your content. It's great. Thank you for the effort it takes.

Just a couple of points to make:

-- Industry standards for high school girls recruiting is all over the map when it comes to evaluation by non-coaches. Like every other college scholarship sport rural areas get the shaft and up until covid, there was almost no presence in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming by recruiting services. That is changing gradually. Heard this a bunch from friends who coach girls HS hoops and from friends who have had their daughters recruited. Means there are a lot of girls who are under-recruited not because of talent, but frankly due to the lack of exposure. Basically the theme was and is, if you wanted to ensure recruitment, regionally competitive travel ball teams was the best way to increase exposure.

-- Heard this one a ton from a coach perspective in both Montana and Idaho, is there continues to be the impression that high school performance particularly in rural areas isn't indicative of anything. One of the reasons why you see girls and boys transfer to bigger high schools or to prep schools their junior and senior years (Lewistown's Brown on the boys side to Wasatch Prep) is college coaches want to see like-to-like performance. When I was still coaching girls hoops, I had a 6-2 girl who averaged 15 and 10 with about 3 blocks a game. We didn't see a girl on our schedule that year taller than 6'0'' until districts, and in the presence of taller girls her height didn't play. Used to hear that a ton about when Chase Reynolds came to the UM from Drummond. Sometimes you get generational talent, but coaches are hesitant to recruit players if they don't have a basis of comparison. So it does tend, especially for those girls who aren't in travel ball, or are in divisions that are lower enrollment, to alter how college coaches and to some degree how recruiting services see them.

I know much of what I noted is self-obvious, but it is worth noting because I have had the same conversation in three or if not four different sports on this board and else where.

I'm appreciative of ANYBODY who posts here, either on the men's or women's side, and that most especially includes you, Wyoming. But I thought your response to GrizFan24 was a little like sending a heat-seeking missile after a fly.

Pretty sure his reply was aimed at BigSkyBreakdown, not GF24…

Okay, my bad.

O.K. Had my one rant for the year. Nothing personal. Plenty of good work left to be done. Well, back to what the Title of this here thread is supposedly about:..speculation and all that. Be interesting if the LG offered McKylee Hawkins. Her rebounding/defense under the basket reminds me of Ann Lake, though an inch shorter at 5'11".

Maybe the LG are scouting out either/or:
