LadyGriz Macey Huard transferring

You're not kidding. I can't help but feel bad for Brian and his staff. With the transfer portal now a factor (along with NIL to a lesser extent), it basically forces coaches to have to re-recruit their returning players after their season ends.
It's more like you have to re-recruit players every DAY!

Off topic but who leaves OSU? Have heard a lot of rumbling of OSU and WSU players leaving due to conference switch.

Coach Rueck and Ethridge could also use their success to propel themselves to new gigs. However power 5 jobs seem to be staying as is. Next yr could be a huge coaching move yr.

From an OSU standpoint, it’s a major concern. Rueck and the players were asked after the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games and none of their answers were very reassuring. We have two sophomore bigs who could play at any school and a few guards who are very good. Entire team has eligibility remaining. Rueck is a lifelong OSU guy.

Etheridge at WSU doesn’t have the same caliber of talent OSU has this season, but she’s done an excellent job and they’ve had quite the resurgence.

College basketball is a lost cause. Kids will do what they want to do, and move, and NIL presumably can have a huge impact. Most of the top players don't seem to care about getting a good education and making a strong group of friends for life. Mainly about getting to the best team they can play for, and getting as much money as they can attract. Top basketball has become somewhat professional and transactional.

I have less problem with players who have played and achieved for their team, and then decide to step up to the big team in their last year or so. especially when their team isn't necessary going to be a great team the next season, or get to some goal and championship. Like the No. Colo. and NDS kids who went to Tenn and Alabama.

Less problem, or no problem, with the top 20 quarterbacks in the nation either.
