Great drive by Beasly there at the end of the half. Happy surprise, he's the leading Griz scorer with 10.

Next are Owens and Parker with 6 each
 
Griz up 7 at half, 36-29. Kinda rough towards the end of half with lots of turnovers and empty possessions for UM and missed free throws for Arizona.
 
Man its soooo nice not to come out tight and miss first 12 shots and get down 18pts right away. This team always hangs tough in big games but tends to play to tight to really show their best. This team looked totally different against Washington, less hesitant and fumbly with the ball and slow to react on rebounds. Its awesome to see that carry no for several games. We are not on fire or anything but we are not playing tight and its fun to watch basketball
 
I commented on this during the U Dub game, but the Griz haven't acted like a rookie team recently. They've acted like a pretty experienced team, even though they have few players that put in a lot of minutes with the team last year. There's only Owens, Vazquez, DCH and maybe you could count Anderson.

Pretty amazing, really.
 
I wonder if Mac Anderson might be a good insert with Steadman with 4 fouls. Mac fouls a lot but he gets fouled as well.
 
The dagger is inserted, will it be twisted? Steadman fouls out. How many will follow? Under 6 min. left. Griz need to get it together and bear down.
 
Looked like Arizona was building up a big head of steam there, but Griz holding on and only behind by 3
