How about some defensive linemen? Since we lost Dahl and Liccardi it's looking pretty thin in the reserve area.

Weren't they both offensive linemen? I am thinking the depth of the OLine is a bit suspect.

Granted, both #62 Christian Licciardi and #79 Joe Dahl were listed as OL < http://www.egriz.com/football/yr2011/montana-grizzlies-football-roster/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ...but one of the most recent rosters containing Licciardi had him listed both OL/DL; and I always felt Dahl would have been better utilized on the DL, even though some evidently didn't see it that way.

I thought the OL had some kind of reserves in Taves / J. Hines / L. Hines/ Schmaing / Kaleikini; plus the 2012 recruiting class containing Max Kelly, Clint LaRowe (DL?), McCauley Todd, Ben Weyer and Devon Dietrich. I just haven't seen as many personnel recruits for the DL, mostly for the DE seemingly, if any, as for the OL over the last couple years. Making me nervous.

Looks to be much more interested in FBS (and why wouldn't he be?) But you never know - Don't ask, don't get! Maybe Rosey is a good salesman. It will be interesting to see how he does this fall.

Agreed...he seemed pretty excited about the PAC 12 offer.

Speaking of Rosey (and all other assistants for that matter), it will be interesting to see how the uncertainty about whether or not they'll be at UM for the '13 season will impact recruits.

Rosenbach could easily be a HC candidate by the time Delaney is finished, which may be quite later than the '12 season. Mick is interested in three years if the program's success justifies it. That success will be measured in more terms than WL.

There's something that is called the Northwest Elite Index. It's an independent recruiting source that replicates Scouts & Rivals. Totally focused on kids in Oregon & Washington. They just posted their position rankings http://www.northwesteliteindex.com/rankings.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

At minimum it's an interesting read & a good discussion started. Several Griz recruits & signees on this by position listing. Take a look...

#8 QB on the Washington list, Matt Stuart, plays on my son's select summer baseball team. I've never seen him play football, but watching him swat a baseball out of the park is fun to see. When he connects -- which is fairly often -- there's no reason to chase it, the fielders just turn and watch it. He's listed at 6'6" 235..I don't know about that, I've stood face to face (well, my face looking up at his) with him and he's got to be 255 or 260. Probably not a good fit for the Griz offense as he's a stand up pocket passer, but an absolutely great kid, great teammate.
