Check it out - THAT room comes with a bride!

And a trucker. (It is across from a large truck stop after all)

Not to mention in the other direction a short distance is 'Sage Brush Sams' strip club, so there is that.

What were the three restaurants on Man v Food? I know one was a pasty place and the. A stromboli place maybe?

Is there still a land of magic?

And will the new copper king have the big prime ribs I used to hear about from my family that used to live in Anaconda?

I've enjoyed whichever brewery is above the Irish times. But they were pretty new at that point.

The 'Land of Magic', 801 Utah St, is now a place called 'Casagranda's Steakhouse and Guido Bar'. This is one of my favorite places anywhere. Nice owners. It's ambiance is unique, in an old warehouse, and has old pictures, antiques, and documents on the walls from that late 1800's and early 1900's... and the food is high quality for a reasonable price. If anyone wants to know more, check out there glowing 'Yelp' reviews here:

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the Hotel 6 up town, which used to be the Capri, I think, and not the one in Rocker. If I didn't live here, I'd stay at the Finlen. It's a doable walk to the stadium, but all up hill the way home

On the back of the scrimmage tickets are two offers:

Metals Sports Bar & Grill - Present ticket and receive a Free Bistro Dessert with purchase of an entree.

M%M Bar and Cafe - Present ticket and receive a Free Beer or Fountain Drink.

HA. I totally missed that (uptown Motel 6). You are correct. Nice catch.

I totally forgot that Motel 6 bought the old Capri Motel, uptown.

Good call on the historic Finlen Hotel. My parents had their wedding reception there in 1969. The last time I was there was when EK was still alive, for a dinner in his honor. I occasionally go to the 'Cavalier Lounge' there though (entrance from the sidewalk).

The McDermott Hotel (now called The Finlen Hotel) had been host to many notables including Marcus Daly, William Jennings Bryan, Theodore Roosevelt, and the noted western artist Charles Russell. The Finlen Hotel continued the tradition of playing host to the famous as they came to Butte. Some of the recent notables who chose to stay at the Finlen include Charles Lindberg, Mrs. Herbert Hoover, Harry Truman, then Senator John F. Kennedy, and then Vice-President Richard Nixon.

The Copper King Hotel and Convention Center is under total new ownership. The former restaurant will not re-open. But a new one will move to the end-cap of the north end of the building, where Mine Shaft Lounge and Casino (formerly Jox Sports & Spirits bar) used to reside. The new restaurant is a 'Rib & Chop House', which has 9 locations (Billings, Butte, Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Livingston, Miles City, St. George, Sheridan).
