Per his twitter account and several other twitter posts, Walter Wright (Snow JC) visited Montana this past weekend.

Thanks for the info. Yet another pg. Sorry, I just don't get the infatuation with multiple PG's, especially after getting a great guard already for the upcoming class.

Jenkins is a Jr in High School, so his first year with the Griz (if we get him) would be Dunn's senior season and Oguine's sophomore season. Makes it a possibility that he could redshirt then maybe?

As for the other guards, like Wright (who is kicking ass in JC) it could be we have some departures after this season... with a new coaching staff and system that's a very real possibility. Also, with DeCuire wanting to run a more up tempo offense having two guards out there at the same time (with quality backups) that can play the point makes a lot of sense.

That said I would love to see some more offers tossed out there towards athletic bigs that can run the floor. Maybe we have some on our radar just haven't offered yet.

This one is for you mtgrizrule, another JUCO big offered. Another player we will be fighting some impressive schools to land.

I was just on that site yesterday. I see he was added today. Good to see a few JC PF's listed there for the GRIZ. :thumb:

This kid is absolutely dominating right now. In his last 7 games, he's averaging 26.5 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 6 blocks for Northwest College. If the Griz are somehow able to land him, he could be a major impact player for a team in desperate need of frontcourt depth next season. However, Montana will have to beat out the likes of Oklahoma State, Utah State, and TCU for his services.

Per Verbalcommits.com Snow College JC point guard Walter Wright just committed to the Griz!

According to VerbalCommits the Griz have offered 6'0" 155lb guard Elijah Hardy (Freshman, class of 2018) from Bishop O'Dowd high school in Oakland. Jono Metzger-Jones and Chris Cobb both went to that high school.

A couple of the tweets make it sound like Cal and Stanford have some interest too. Or maybe he has some interest in them. Hard to tell.

Maxpreps.com in an article mentioned he's one of the most highly touted freshman in California right now. Couldn't find any stats, but I'm guessing he got noticed when the Griz were recruiting Paris Austin (same high school).

Not sure if this will help or hurt the GRIZ, but MSU has a few players leaving.
SF Terrell Brown, PG Joseph Frenchwood, and C Bradley Fletcher all looking to transfer and have been cleared to do so. I'd like to see Fletcher look at the GRIZ.
I also wonder if Edwards might want an opportunity for playing time, and xfr from Gonzaga?

Also the GRIZ are the 1st program to offer 2018 PG Elijah Hardy from Bishop O'Dowd HS.

I need to add this. Here is the link listing players transferring out of schools from all over the nation. There are some quality players on this list.

It looks like there will be four departures. I am not sure if the Griz will look at any of them. It is hard to know what sort of potential is there but none of them had a lot of success with a crappy bobcat team. Fisher is the only "big man" leaving. Also, I believe Ryan Edwards is redshirting this year.

I guess at this stage Travis is trying to get as much talent as possible, regardless of position. Could it be, the game has so few skilled big men these days? Wayne was not focusing on bigs much. Travis also appears to be focusing efforts away from recruiting bigs. Recruiting will be interesting to watch play out the next few years.

Im very excited to see how recruiting goes. I think coach Decuire is a fantastic recruiter who will get us in with some kids who are maybe a level above us.

Per verbal commits, Boucher has narrowed his list to six schools. The Griz are not on that list. :( He was selected as the Division I JC player of the year by the NCJAA.

More guards.............go figure. One would think, eventually a big man has to see the lack of post players and see a an opportunity to play with great guards. :thumb:

Seems like this is probably a vote of confidence in the progress the young bigs on the team are making, too.

I have posted the same in that regard a few times. I sure hope that is the case. :thumb:
