What a bunch of buffoons. That is the worst thing I've ever seen. Still haven't (and won't ever) buy a crumb from Wheat Montana. Losers.
Decided to spend our 900 dollars for our fundraiser with 2 other companies. No more business for them.

Never another penny from me.
:thumb: Glad to hear this!!

The only way I can see Dean and Larry (and their respective businesses) getting back into the good graces of Griz nation is if they make very healthy donations to the Griz locker room and weight room upgrades. Well, that and they'd have to make a version of this beautiful song of theirs using G-R-I-Z.

That's just awesome. Excellent archival work! It's like finding an old 70s porn vid - almost too disgusting watch, yet one feels compelled to see it...

BOBCATS..you couldn't make this shit up...we said BOBCATS..we're scramblin to find our nuts...We said BOBCATS ....Oh please lord OH DEAR, let us MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR!!!!! Its hard to cheer for the C.A.T.S

So what do you consider more embarrassing...
1) That it is made by Montana businessmen
2) The ridiculous video itself
3) The rape innuendo
4) Threatening people with lawsuits out of humiliation
I'd vote #1, a real business owner knows when to shut the hell up in lieu of losing a customer.

Shit... I changed my mind. Has to be #4, that's just too embarrassing. Hiding behind a lawyer from an obvious mistake you've made.

Nope. It's #2. It all comes down to the video itself. Do you mean to tell me that neither of these two business men have one friend, a family member, a partner, someone that could have said, "ya know, this video not only looks and sounds like shit, but it makes you two look like big time Delta Bravo's."

Did a bit of video stabilization processing & replaced the audio with a crisper MP3 track

what reason would they use to threaten to sue?

The actual producer of the video had contacted me after I posted it on YouTube. He said his clients had copyrights to it and that I was imposing on copyright privileges. He demanded that I remove the video immediately or that they would pursue other necessary means. They literally threatened me. I was going to be tough and just leave it there but I decided I didn't want to drama. Anyways I'm happy to still see it out there forthe world to see what a bunch of jackasses these two are.

Larry called a number of people in Missoula, and personally apologized. He genuinely felt like shit after.

Apparently his phone call with Paoli was quite “lively”.

Does the band get to go to this game?

Oh, how wonderful it would be if the Griz win the game if we all heard the strains of "YMCA" coming from the Griz band. . .

For the folks that were obviously offended by the video, what do the people that were responsible for it have to do to "make things better"?

He can bellyache all he wants, but once its one Youtube, it's fair game as long as you don't alter the content or take credit for its production. Videos are pulled from Youtube all the time and posted to different sites without the permission of the creator.
I think they knew they were in deep shit, not only because they're businesses could be harmed, but also because the credits at the end of the video indicate that Montana State University had a role in producing it.
I seem to remember Michael Becker, Bozeman Daily Chronicle city editor, using his news blog hypercrit.net to ask someone to send him a copy. He seemed very interested in knowing how the video came about, but it vanished before he could find it.

they must own the rights to the ymca song by the village people. if they didnt they could get in really hot water claiming copyright on someone elses song

I don't know if they can "make it right." When you run a business you don't get to do things like that. Anything they try makes me feel like they are just trying to get their numbers up. If I can take the 800-1000 my group spends there away and give it to someone who deserves it I know it's not a lot but I hope they learn a lesson. I am done with both of the businesses.
