Next up... at Pepperdine 11/29

Still can't throw it in the ocean from 3. 1-9 now but Griz get the rebound. And...another 3 point miss. 1-10 from 3 now. 37-29 with 24 seconds left in the half after Wright hits a jumper. He's got 7 now.
 
Nice to see Wright showing a little more confidence.....

Yeah, now if could just get 3 point shooting on track
 
The officiating is much better this game save a call or two, but we HAVE to get production out of someone that isn't named Breunig.
 
Halftime score 37-29 Pepperdine.

Griz lead in scoring by Breunig who had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
Wright has 7 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

He looks very unsure of what he's doing with the ball out there and almost nervous. Hope he can shake that off... The turnover followed by the intentional foul at half court was pretty bad.

Griz are definitely still in this. Pepperdine started to cool off shooting a bit, the Griz D looked better and if we could just hit some damn threes occasionally we'd be in good shape. Griz are outrebounding Pepperdine 19-13 and Pepperdine still only has 2 offensive rebounds.
 
Great to see Wright being aggressive to begin the 2nd half. Has all 3 of the Griz points so far this half with 1 free throw and a layup underneath. He's got 10 now. Griz down 39-32 right now.

Damn, after a turnover by Pepperdine Gfeller misses 2 threes in a row, Griz now 1-12 from 3. Can't buy a bucket from out there. That would have been huge to hit one of those.

Griz playing very aggressive on defense too, causing a couple early turnovers by Pepperdine. Oguine takes it to the hoop for 2 after another Pepperdine turnover. Griz down 39-34 now.
 
Refs going to look at the monitor. Looked like Krslovic might've taken an elbow to the face on the last rebound.
 
Great reverse layup by Moorehead. Griz down 39-36. Also a heady play by Moorehead after he turned it over. Picked the guys pocket from behind to get the ball back.
 
Holy cow...bad pass by Morehead...then he redeems himself by stealing ball back

then he makes incredible shot under the bucket
 
Pepperdine with a bucket. Oguine attacking the bucket at the other end and gets another layup. 41-38 Griz down.

Really liking how aggressive the Griz look both on O and D to begin this half. If we could just get some 3s to fall now.. 1-13 from 3.
 
Illegal screen on Pepperdine. Griz with a chance to tie it. Lopez's shot goes in and out. Bad pass from Pepperdine, and Oguine fouled very hard on the other end, shooting 2.

Hits them both, Griz now down by only 1. 41-40. Looking pretty good right now.
 
Damn, couple buckets by Pepperdine and 1 turnover by the Griz. Griz down 47-42 now with 12:01 to go in the game. Looking pretty good though still. Need to keep attacking and playing aggressive on D. That seems to be bothering Pepperdine, they have 5 turnovers so far this half after having only 2 in the entire first half.
 
Breunig with a couple buckets. He now has 16 on 7-8 shooting. Griz down 46-47 now with about 10:30 to go in the game and the ball after a Pepperdine miss.

Turnover Griz on the other end though...foul on Pepperdine on the other end though. Griz ball with 9:49 to go in the game, Griz ball and down by 1, 46-47.

Wright has 10 and Oguine has 6 (all 6 coming this half).
 
The Big Sky Conference needs to watch these officials... they are doing a great job of reffing this game!
