Salary?

I read somewhere that Stitt's salary in Colorado was $205,000.

As quoted earlier, Stitt's base salary was $205,503 (not sure if that was 2014?), plus 5% of all ticket receipts with a guaranteed annual slary bump of no less than 5%. Counseling with somebody familiar with what could be expected in additional income the figure for radio/tv/ appearances/etc adds about another $40,000 per year.

With CSM's home attendance being negligible one might make a guess that if the $175,000 base holds true he might be one side or the other of about $215,000. One thing seems clear - he's not coming to Missoula to make more money, but to run his own show at a fabled D-1 program. If all that we hear about Stitt is true he could have made a hell of a lot more money going to a major FBS program as OC if that had been his objective.

In any case, his remuneration package is in the hands of the twits at the BOR.

No it wasn't. No one ever provided a link to that. Whomever first posted it google searched it and got it confused with what Craig Bohl's salary was at NDSU.

Has anyone mentioned Hitler yet in this thread?

The question was what is the salary (and follow up: what is the contract duration). We got:

The Great M/K Debate
The Missoula housing market
The Golden housing market
The Helena housing market (for reasons I cannot explain, and where one can apparently buy a house for the price of a VCR)
Progressives fighting capitalism (or maybe not)

Nice work, gents.

Yep, now that we have a coach, egriz is back. Damn it...

EGriz's hottest thread is "Salary?"

Nine-year-old Tokyo pimp Ichiaku Guru is back with an all new thread that answers the question, “WHAT?!” This thread has everything: Lights, psychos, Furbies, screaming babies in Mozart wigs, sunburned drifters with soap sud beards, trance, stilts, throw-up music, an albino that looks like Susan Powter, Teddy Graham people, gauze, carnival barkers, groups of guys with afros in graduation caps, human fire hydrants, twinks, gypsies, grown men in wedding dresses, a cat from a bodega, puppets in disguise, ice sculptures, winos, Germfs – German smurfs – a Teddy Ruxpin wearing mascara, an old lady wearing Kid ‘N Play hair, and none other than DJ Baby Bok Choy - a giant 300-pound Chinese baby who wears tinted aviator glasses, and he spins records with his little ravioli hands.

Look over there — is that Mick Jagger? No! It’s a fat kid on a Slip ‘n Slide. His knees look like biscuits, and he’s ready to party.

It depends on if the Grizzlies beat No Dakota State or not.

Because our "progressives" fight capitalism. Discuss. ;)
Progressives don't "fight" capitalism. We, in fact, support it. It's its excesses that need regulation ("fighting"?). Socialism is not communism, altho that distinction is lost on you.

Progressives are "socialists" in name only here in Missoula. Maybe you have remained true to your socialist roots, and that is super dee dooper dee! Here our Office of Planning and Grants denies, taxes and delays all development which raises housing prices due to restricted supply. Then the guilt-ridden trustafarians try to stop all industry so wages can stay low. This creates the general malaise necessary for the normal middle class to "give up" and look to government for its needs. P.S. Regulation = fighting capitalism in most instances.

What some developers try to do is foist as many costs of development as possible on to the community they are working in on order to ensure maximum profit. I suppose this is natural, but anyone can see it is important to have a robust regulatory system to ensure costs and benefits are aligned. Pretty simple I'd say.

If Stitt did take a minor pay cut to come to Montana, it probably was a wash anyway. The cost of living in Colorado is higher than in Montana, so I would think that he's maybe making the same, if not a little bit more due to that.

Edit - actually, I'm not sure if Colorado is even that much more expensive to live in other than the Denver metro area. If anyone knows, it'd be good information to learn.
I lived in the Golden area this summer and rent was insane.

Oh Gawd! Why don't you move to China where you don't have to live with any pesky environmental or development regulations. You'd be in hog heaven. I love how every stupid idiot trumps every conversation with the big bad "socialism" term. The truth is we've had socialism in this country since day one and most of it is directly benificial to our lives. Montanans have no room to bitch about government handouts. They collect $1.50 in benefits for every $1.00 they pay in taxes. It's totally the opposite in places like LA and Seattle...

In the egriz end is this just a sneaky way for Stitt to ask Brint to be his Missoula Realtor?

This seems reasonable.

Most of the strong families with good kids will continue to fill the stands.

You mean those of good stock?

Naturally. And Butte people. They made it through the August of 1977, with four feet of snow and the temp never climbing above -17 F. Good people. They'll pay the fees.
