The Cuts Just Keep on Coming

You understand that punitive tariffs mean higher prices on much of what we buy, and the when other countries impose tariffs on things we export (think about Boeing and Caterpillar or Montana wheat) employment shrinks. It's a sure fire path to another depression.

And while we are at it, our military is hands down the most powerful in the world. Buying it more stuff won't make us appreciably more secure.

We have a negative trade balance with almost every nation in the world, so any "trade war" will be heavily slewed in our favor. When multi-national companies realize that they can avoid the sur-tax by manufacturing goods in the U.S., it will result in many new jobs.
