You understand that punitive tariffs mean higher prices on much of what we buy, and the when other countries impose tariffs on things we export (think about Boeing and Caterpillar or Montana wheat) employment shrinks. It's a sure fire path to another depression.
And while we are at it, our military is hands down the most powerful in the world. Buying it more stuff won't make us appreciably more secure.
