Be a nice receiver to have opposite Hendu....
Dont forget J-Jones...I think we all have a tendency to over look Jamaal! Can you image what last year would have been like "without" him making plays. 1,000yds rec is nothing to blow off...Can you imagine if he pans out a 4-wide set of Jones, Naccarato, Henderson & Lucas. Whoa!

F it. Lets throw Janssen out there and go 5 wide!!!!! :thumb:

I like...push all your chips into the middle of the table. All in! :clap:

Nope...haven't forgotten him. It's because of him and Hendu that I don't think Lucas will have the #'s that MSU's new all-world TE will have...

That was a comprehensive EGriz WR statement AZGF...not a personal afront on you, sir!

Not sure what to expect; I saw the stats listed on the video, but he cannot be found on the 2014 De Anza roster.

https://www.deanza.edu/athletics/football/roster.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In 2013 he was listed as a 6'3" 200 lb Soph. QB (#9).

https://www.deanza.edu/athletics/football/roster2013.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looks like he started at Penn State. Transferred to De Anza to be a QB but ended up moving back to WR. Put up some decent numbers in 2013. Then went back to Penn State for 2014 but didn't play.

To move to JUCO from Penn state return to Penn State and drop out after a semester is awfully suspicious. Either he doesn't have it, can't cut it academically, or doesn't have the drive to compete for play time. You would have thought he would have finished the school year at Penn rather than do little or nothing for a semester and give up a year of eligibility. Doesn't look like graduation is a priority. He better be worth the hit to our APR if I'm right. I hope I'm wrong

He is not enrolling at U of M until he graduates with his sociology degree. Will be a grad student at U of M.

That's Spanish for...TNT doesn't know shit!

Lucas would be 2nd string practice squad at MSU at best...they have crazy depth :coffee:

:lol: and it's like the universal sign for choking. We all understand.
I like this get. A big, strong, mature reciever. Pity he has only the one year but glad to have him.

He might have starved to death. That beast they've just hired has got to be first @ the trough.

Tyler will be known for tough catches over the middle! Yes we are glad you are coming Tyler.

Lest you forget, we dislike our state team East of us. They tend to crawl on our site like water snakes and we beat them every year on our last conference game of the season. It is a basic "practice" game. We always use this game to get us tuned up for the post season...

Lucas is a GREAT find :!: The Griz have never had a tall WR that ran 4.53 (if his hudl is accurate).

Lucas plays Flanker. My hope is that Daum can now red-shirt. :pray:

Yes, that would be ideal. :clap: :clap:

Give him and Pflug four FULL years after a year of bulking up...

I'm excited about him - good high point to get the ball.

Griz never having a tall WR that runs a 4.53... We've had a few in that range. Eric Allen was a 4.5 guy, Craig Chambers was a 4.45 guy.

Allen was the first name that came to mind after reading Intuitive's post.

Allen's, the Oklahoma State transfer to Montana, PRO DAY results:

Allen height 6025
Allen 40 times...low 4.56...4.66...high 4.77

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=61520&draftyear=2008&genpos=WR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chambers's, the Univ of Washington transfer to Montana, Pro Day results:

Chambers height 6026
Chambers 40 times...low 4.49...4.59...high 4.70

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=15737&draftyear=2008&genpos=WR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Plus what I meant, although perhaps didn't say correctly, was the Griz have never recruited a tall high school wide receiver that ran 4.53. Sure a couple Div 1-A receivers have previously "dropped down".

In any case, it's great to have a big guy that has great hands and can separate from the secondary and put it in the end-zone.

Lucas is a stud like Chambers... everyone remember this Chambers playoff TD?

Lucas played for De Anza College, which is in Cupertino, CA.

Guess what else is in Cupertino? Apple

:coffee:
And that has what to do with anything? Just a question.

Does the fact that 20%+ of the players on this team have receiver in their title, and five inbound give you pause when you wonder if Rogers is going to make it to the field, let alone be as productive as his potential might have been?

Does the fact that anywhere from 4 - 6 offensive players at any given time are reciever have any bearing? It would appear we don't have enough.......
