UM at PSU (Thurs Jan 19th)

Not a lot of fouls, but there were some headscratchers in there. at least three that on the replay showed our boys not even contacting the ball handler. Looked like the ref just expected there to be contact so he blew the whistle whether it was there or not.
 
UM looks lost and out of control while PSU is little better but scrambling. UM cannot win a game like this without slowing the game down and being a bit more selective in shots. Oguine is the leader this game and he needs help.

It is surprising how this total blowout half has not seemed to get any interest from the UM bench or coaches. I've never seen the coach this calm....too bad as Weber lost tonight.
 
Every team has a bad game. Even good teams have bad games. Great teams win anyway. This was a bad game for us. Really bad. Maybe they can make a run at the end here and then bounce back big on Saturday.

That is true. But UM, if it wins the tourney, is playing for a higher than 16 seed and cannot afford losses like this, and Washington State. Still, they can make it respectable but cannot lose any more games this year. The schedule favors UM in that regard. So, it now it is a play for the tourney set up.
