No, at least not as I read it. I came across the new/old SATs last night. Looks like the old 2400 system is no more, in favor of the 1600 point system. They referred to the Pre-2016 SAT. That infers it was long standing, not brief, and only change occurred in 2016.,

2400 was 2006-2015, right?
2005 and before, and 2016-present is 1600.
So there were 10 years where it was 2400, I believe.

Not sure when you took it, but mine was well before 2016, and it was out of 1600, like it had been for decades before...

EDIT: here we go, not sure if my dates are 100% correct.

Late '60s, ACT. I didn't see the decade of higher SAT required scores, but then again, it was late night, and I'd missed my nap. I did see that the current MSU requirement is SAT of 1200(UM 1170). That would make indian griz a politically motivated liar.

Maybe recheck your research. I don’t think any of it is correct.

OK, show me I'm wrong, cat troll. You give a shit, I don't.

Oh, I wasn't talking required scores. I don't know about that, as it's school-dependent.
I was just talking about max scores. After the change from 1600 to 2400 in 2006, some uninformed people like me were stunned to hear that a dullard kid down the street ripped a 1540.

It's good to see the SAT went back to the old scoring system. Now, if we could only get the Griz to go back to the old colors . . .

Did I hear Joe Montana was implicated?

Ruh Roh!

I can't be sure, but I seriously doubt he had to bribe anyone in UM Athletics to get a Notre Dame txfer into school here. Certainly not $500k. Two PBR tallboys, max.

Wait a minute, I like facts and data. If i am wrong here please explain to me. Could GW actually have squeeked into MSU on his own?

Don't know what 1970 requirements were, but his score of 1206, with current 1200 score requirements on the 1600 point SAT, looks like he could have gotten in. We would have a different #43...but who? Hmmm.....the historical implications.

No way the MSU or UM SAT requirements are that high.

Thanks, PR. The "ORs" are fairly important in those standards.

2.2, lower half of class, and an 1150, and you're probably in.
3.2, upper half, and a 990, and you're probably still in.

Shit, if you pre-pay, you're probably in.

The college cheating scandal guy required only a $25 payment to guarantee admission to MSU. If a male could look like a QB, it was only half price. The guy didn't even charge the parents of receivers.

Documentation?
It's very well documented, his 1970 application to the university of Texas was rejected. And he got into Yale on a legacy, affirmative action application. He had a 1206 sat score. He couldn't get into Montana State on his own without daddy, just like Trump and Kushner. Google it yourself.

Not gonna do it. Put your political crap like that in the Political Forum.

And yet his GPA was better than John Kerry's. What a world....

When I got in, anyone who graduated from a Montana high school was accepted.
I grew up around the silos, at one point living within half a mile of one of the holes. Always figured if the end was coming, grab the lawn chair and whiskey, and get a good view of the incoming. No sense running.

"You can run if you want, but you'll just die tired."

When I got in all you needed as an international student was a 65%, so I got out of high school with a 67.2% (which my smart ass Grade 11 son, throws in my face when I get on him about being lazy AF). I used to think it was so low because they knew how much better other country's schools were compared to the US, I have since wised up and realised they just liked my international student tuition cheques. LOL

I have very few regrets in life but one of them is not enrolling at UBC. But, it all balances out, in the end.

Hey LA, my wife and I will be in downtown Savannah for a few days in a couple weeks. Where should we eat? We've visited some friends in Charleston twice in recent years, so opted to see a new place this time. On our way to dad's weekend at our son's fraternity at Sewanee, and their annual crawfish boil.

What? Obama was the top student in the class at Harvard law, President of the law review, strait As. I don't believe he had a sugar daddy to get him in. If he got in on a affirmative action scholorship then good on Harvard.
