I foresee a lot of politics going into this early signing period deal.

I'm guessing that some of the 2-3 star guys might verbal to an FCS school early on, keep their recruitment open, but they WONT sign at the early signing option - deferring till February, and hope that one of the FBS schools will see their available status and pull the trigger. I see Stitt as using the early signing period as a way to weed out the guys who aren't jumping in with two feet, so to speak.

I know it's early, but it looks like we are really targeting the trenches and secondary in the 2018 class......based on JR day, interest on twitter, and our current offers. Which would be appropriate.

From the 11 players listed on the offer list, how many of them attended Junior Day? I assume Germer and Sulser were there and Beresford was mentioned as being there but no mention of the other 8 guys. With the approach the staff is going about offering recruits it would seem odd that they are not offering guys who were at the camp.

have to agree with postfalls on this.....as it is my understanding junior day is by invitation only and there were 180 of them....did they miss on these guys as to whether they were d1 material.....obviously they are not all going to be, however one would think there would be several offers among that many kids.....or maybe we just do not know about them.... that is hard to fathom in this day and age of social media,,just look at all the kitty offers....

I know of a couple kids that have offers, but have not made it public. I also know that there were kids that could not make Junior Day, but still have been in steady contact with coaches and either have or will visit outside of Junior Day. Also, the approach of Junior Day is to get as many borderline or lower priority kids to visit just in case any of them blow-up their Senior year or they need a quality character kid with potential as a last minute recruit. The lack of reported offers to Junior Day visitors should not be overblown.

I initially was taking the time to check that list as they came through but didn't see any so stopped. Agree though, that there is a lot more to Jr day. I just want to see some recruits hit the board. Also, I really think winning games and having an improved offense will get kids here. As much as many hate to say or admit, kids like stats and uniforms. If this "get rolling" the Griz have both. That'll sell recruits.
