There are three appicants being interviewed this week. OC Tim Cramsey, Jeff Choate DL coach, Washington, Johnny Nansen, Assoc Head Coach, USC. Nansen has an excellent resume and did coach at MSU for a year. Here is his bio: http://www.usctrojans.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/johnny_nansen_880405.html

It has started again at Wombat Nation.

Yeah, and it's possibly stronger than the pool UM had to pick from just last year.

That's really what it all always boils down to.

It's just an observation. You guys like to think you're king shit on turd mountain, but it turns out that your shitty reputation just attracts more shit... Oops, I mean Stitt.

If the Cats sign Chris Ball, you're phucked.

I think this is just great! Nothing has actually happened, and the Wombats are already back on top.

Just like at the beginning of September.

I take it you didn't get that memo a few years back about the changing of the guard?

And, mark my words, if that happens, Peter Fields is suddenly going to be elevated to the status of Machiavellian genius; far outclassing any AD in the Big Sky Conferernce, the West, and possibly the entire world. We will find that he has merely been biding his time all these years to be able to deliver the final Death Blow to the Griz dominance, and that all the convolutions about the "Changing of the Guard" and the "Power Shift" were merely Field's deliberate feints to set up a situation where he could get rid of Ash, and begin the Wombat's true ascent to "where they belong" ... in the Top Ten every year ... which is actually where they think they "belong" for some reason.

Nothing to disagree with there.

If Chris Ball is the new coach at MSU, all of that probably happens.

I get it. I'd be nervous if I was you too.

Yeah, we are nervous every year that Cat fans will become realistic but you guys never disappoint us. We REALLY need to relax, watch, and enjoy the annual slow motion train wreck in Bozeman.

Sorry loveyoulongtime, Ball would still be inheriting Cats players. Not even a miracle worker could turn that around any time soon. It was evident to me those players are a step behind a lot of their counterparts in terms of speed, skill, brains, and brawn. Would he be a good coach? Probably yes. Can he work miracles with what he's got at his disposal? Probably not.

Chris Ball....Co-Defensive coordinator, Safties/Def Passing Game coach.....at Arizona St....

Arizona St....total defense in 2015....ranked 103 of 128 FBS schools....total pass defense in 2015....ranked 127 of 128 FBS schools.....isn't this the same defense that cost Ash his job.....

This just in, MSU ranked #1 in the 2016 pre-season polls regardless of who is their next HC!

I would say Chris Ball has an outstanding resume of success.

I would say that is an outstanding example of "Public Relations". Engstrom needs to hire this guy!

The statistical data presents a completely different perspective. http://www.oddsshark.com/ncaaf/defensive-stats

ASU gives up an average of 6.6 yds per play and 14.4 yds per passing play.

That compares to national averages of 5.7 and 12.3.

Griz give up 6.2 yds per play, and 13.6 yds, respectively.

You are talking about just this year. I was referring to his coaching career. He has overall excellent results and in mentoring players.

Sounds like Ron Ash. Going downhill? Do the Wombats need another coach that needs to "turn it around?" And become yet another to join the "BobCat's Graveyard of NCAA Coaches?"
